Turnaround Achievement Awards |
 On Wednesday, May 13th 2009 April Braughm was awarded for the Turnaround Achievement Award for BMHS. Thirty six students from School District 2 were honoured for their efforts at school. The district's annual Turnaround Achievement Awards celebrate students from Grade 6 to 12 who have shown perseverance and commitment in making a determined effort to "turn around" their personal or scholastic life. The banquet, which was held at Bernice MacNaughton High School, was is catered and sponsored by Mikes Restaurants. According to Gregg Ingersoll, Director of Education, the Turnaround recipients serve as examples to other students that no matter what stands in the way of a productive school year, it can be overcome using determination and persistence. |
