- There will be an information night for parents regarding course selection for next year, this Thursday at 7 pm in the auditorium. Parents will have a chance to learn about course requirements for graduation and options available to our students. This is only for parents of students in grade 9-11
- Our guidance counselors will be visiting grade 9-11 English classes, starting this week, to review course selections with our students.
- All grade 9 students and any student needing to complete their English language proficiency assessment (reading section) will be writing this Thursday morning. This is a graduation requirement and parents are asked to help make sure their children come to school well rested and prepared to take this test.
- Parent-teacher interviews will be held on Tuesday, March 23 (6:30-9:00pm) and Wednesday, march 24 (9:00-11:30 am). Please bring a copy of your child’s timetable or pick one up at the main office.
- Mid-terms run from april 12-16
- Students are reminded that they are to be in class, prepared to begin, by the start of ‘o’canada.’ It is imperative that teachers, students and parents work together to make the best possible use of instructional time. Parents who drive their children to school can help by making sure their children arrive well before the start of classes.
- Congratulations to winning BMHS poets April Defazio, Chelsey Brussard, Ashley Mullin, Shannon McGrath, and Alyssa Belong. These girls all picked up cash prizes recently at the annual
awards ceremony for the Royal Canadian
Legion Poetry contest – well done!
- Grade 10 students will participate in a career fair, this Wednesday afternoon. Students were surveyed and asked which types of potential careers most interested them. From there, our pssc, set out to find professional working in those fields who will present to our grade 10 highlanders. Thank you to the pssc, under the lead of jan morgan for providing this great opportunity.
