Corvette
The bright eyes of an angel cut through the darkness of the night, staring me down, the shrilling roar of an untamed beast disrupting the peaceful night as it crept toward us. It was a blue monster with the grace of a kitten, its power always underestimated. Finally coming to a stop inches from my shins, wings extended, two men step out. Before me sat a god among sports cars, a blue, 50th anniversary, 2003 Chevrolet Corvette. She sat comfortably on nineteen-inch chrome rims and racecar-like tires. I circled the carbon fiber masterpiece, gently running my fingers across its cold, smooth surface while I closely examined the fine artwork. Four oval taillights shone peacefully but the rocket ship-like exhaust proved she meant business. I sat down inside and the seat caressed me gracefully. The smell of brand new black leather treated my nostrils, one of my favorite smells in the world. The beautifully crafted two-seater cockpit made me feel like royalty, sitting on my throne. I was comfortable and safe, in the presence of such power and strength, invincible. Driving in such an amazing machine was an experience that I will never forget.
