Boys Hockey Tournament Win

The Bernice MacNaughton Highlanders captured their second tournament of the season by defeating St. Malachy's Saints 5-2 in the Saint John Christmas Hockey Tournament in the High School Men's Division. Curtis Leet scored twice for the Highlanders and was selected the Tournament MVP. Jeremy Melanson also scored twice while Aaron Vautour secured the victory with an empty net goal. Thomas Fogarty was the winning goaltender. The Highlanders were undefeated in Tournament Play. BMHS had defeated the Riverview Royals in overtime in the semi final round to secure their place in the final.

BMHS Highlanders who captured the GOLD at the JMH 25th Anniv Green and Gold High School Tournament in Miramichi on Sun Dec 6th

 

BMHS defeated Aux Quarter Vents Cyclones 6-5 to win the Green and Gold Cup. BMHS defeated the home town Tommies in the crossovers early in the morning after an hour delay to the weather in Moncton.  Jeremy Melanson scored twice, while singles came from Kyle Chapman, James Donovan, Zach Robichaud and Brandon Lamb to capture the Championship.  The Highlanders also had two players named to the tournament All Star team, Defense Brad Dalrymple and Forward James Donovan.
